The lecture notes posted as pdf files below are very preliminary and incomplete. They are based on parts of the four textbooks suggested as essential and supplementary reading for this course as well as on the related literature (see the reading list). The notes are intended to be of some help to the students attending the course and, in this sense, many aspects of them will be clarified during lectures. The present first draft will perhaps be developed and completed in future revisions. The responsibility for any errors and misinterpretations is, of course, only mine.
